The Poseidon Fender System protects the sides of the barge from coming into direct contact with objects that may cause damage to them. Rubber fenders are built into the frame that attaches to unused connectors allowing them to be placed where they are needed.

Features & Specifications

  • Available for P1-5, P2-5, P2-4 Narrow, P2-7 barge configurations.
  • Easily installed utilizing the barges interlocking connection system.
  • Rubber fenders for energy absorption. Secured to the fabricated frame using 1” stainless steel fasteners.
  • Constructed of heavy steel plate up to 1” thickness for maximum strength and durability.
  • Dual lift rings for safe and secure handling during installation.
  • 3” pipe bull rail along top edge of frame provides chafe protection for mooring lines.
  • Steel grit blasted and then painted with Poseidon/Baril DCC coating system including zinc rich primer for a long lasting finish and maximum corrosion protection.
  • Zinc anodes are standard for additional corrosion protection.

These fenders are available in Single or Double-Sized Fenders

Bitt Options

The Bitts are posts built into the top of the fender that can be used for fastening mooring lines or cables. Bitts are only available as pairs installed on the double sized fenders.

  • Double Bitt (Dual 8” Schedule 80 pipes)
  • No Bitt

Rubber Options

When purchasing, there are options for the type of rubber that is installed.

  • Extruded Rubber – Specialty material designed for long lasting use, with rated energy absorption values. Requires a long lead time.
  • Dock Plate Rubber – Commercially available rubber inserts that are off the shelf items in most areas of the country.
